Admission to first year BPT course in Vemana Institute of Physiotherapy is available for candidates through Management Quota as per the norms specified by Government of Karnataka and Rajiv Gandhi University Of Health Science from time to time.

Admission to First Year BPT

Admission to the first year shall be open for the candidates who have passed the second year Pre-University Examination conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board with Science Subjects or 10 + 2 of the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) / ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University.

Eligibility
A candidate with 10*2 / 12* pass in Science Stream should have secured an aggregate of 40 % with Physics ,Chemistry, Biology.
Eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ST Karnataka are 35% in optional subjects and SC/ST Non-Karnataka are 40% , The candidate must have had appeared and cleared English as one of the subjects.

Eligibility for lateral entry BPT
(a) A candidate with 10*2 / 12* pass in Science Stream (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and two years or three years Diploma in Physiotherapy from recognized state government board will be eligible for entry to Third Year BPT.
(b) A candidate with 10 / SSLC pass and with two years duration in diploma in Physiotherapy from any recognized State Government board will be eligible for First Year BPT. The above Regulation shall be applicable to the students admitted to the said course from the academic year 2020-21 onwards.

Eligibility for admission to MPT

Candidates who have passed B.Sc. (PT) or BPT degree from institutions where the mode of study is a full time program, with minimum 3½ years / 4 ½ years duration from this university or any other university in India or abroad as equivalent with not less than 50% of marks in aggregate and have completed 6 months of compulsory rotating internship in Physiotherapy Colleges recognized by RGUHS - Karnataka are eligible. Candidates who have passed BPT through correspondence or Distance Education program are not eligible
